Billiards is a free pool game for Java mobile phones in which you must defeat the computer opponent at the classic table sport.
The gameplay in Billiards is exactly what you'd expect. After determining whether you play as spots or stripes, you proceed to try and pot all of your balls before the computer (or phone, in this case) sinks its own. Make a foul and the opponent gets a free ball, just like in the real thing.
The controls in Billiards aren't very complicated, certainly when compared to some other mobile pool games. All you need to do is line up the angle of your shot using the directional keys then use the center button or '5' key to stop the power gage to apply the right amount of force to your shot.
Billiards isn't much to look at. In fact, the graphics are so poorly detailed that it's difficult to figure out which are the striped balls and which are the spots, which gets very frustrating.
This free Billiards game is supported by ads, using your internet connection to recommend sites and other products you might like. We're not against as a concept, but in this case the adverts are pretty intrusive and hard to fend off.
If you're a big pool fan then Billiards is worth trying out, though its lack of multiplayer or different game modes gives it a short shelf life.
